'Forgotten Decadence' is a collection of handwoven textiles for interiors exploring the juxtaposition between luxury and decay.

For this collection I used silk for the warp to create a high lustre fabric as well as challenging myself to work with a fine and fiddly yarn. I brought in a viscose supplementary warp to allow me to create pleats and weft floats to add texture and interest. These pleats were inspired by my primary imagery of rusted corrugated metal as well as some paper manipulations I created.

All the final samples were handwoven on an ARM Touch 60 loom.
