Hi, I’m Phoebe and I’m the face behind Phoebe Eira Textiles! I thought I should do a little introduction blog so you could get to know me a little better.

My favourite hair colour(s) that I've had

I graduated with a 2:1 from De Montfort University in August 2022 where I studied Textile Design and specialised in Weave. As of today, I have been weaving for 3 years and it’s something I had never even tried before I started my degree!

I have a passion for colour (if you couldn’t already tell by my hair!) and enjoy bringing vivid colours into my work to invoke joy. During my degree I started reading into the concept of ‘dopamine dressing’ where you intentionally use your clothing to boost your mood through colours, shapes and textures and this is what I hope to achieve with my weaving. I’m an avid collector of anything shiny or colourful (I call this my magpie energy) which of course includes yarns.

I currently have 3 looms at home and in my studio space, I love each one and they all allow me to weave different things. I will be writing up a separate blog post about these and going into detail about how I use each one so keep an eye out for that soon.
